Maritme ISR Drone

DIODON HP30

Waterproof, inflatable, robust, compact, ...

A maritime ISR drone built for operations at sea

The DIODON HP30 is a maritime ISR drone designed for intelligence, reconnaissance, surveillance and search & rescue missions in demanding maritime, coastal and aquatic environments.

Engineered as a fully waterproof and inflatable UAV, it is built to operate where conventional drones cannot, including open sea, high-humidity and saltwater conditions. Its design significantly reduces the risk of loss due to water exposure, enabling reliable deployment directly from the surface.

Developed with continuous input from operational units, including special forces and maritime professionals, the DIODON HP30 reflects years of real-world feedback and field testing. It can be deployed as a standalone system or integrated into a broader operational architecture, depending on mission requirements.

Since 2022, the DIODON HP30 has been deployed across a wide range of defense and security platforms, supporting maritime operations worldwide.

A maritime ISR drone for complex missions at sea

The DIODON HP30 maritime ISR drone supports a wide range of operations in maritime and coastal environments, where rapid deployment and reliable aerial awareness are critical.

Coastal Surveillance

A maritime surveillance drone enables persistent monitoring of coastal areas, supporting the detection, identification and tracking of activities such as illegal trafficking, fishing or pollution.

Search & Rescue (SAR)

A drone for SAR operations provides rapid aerial visibility to locate survivors, monitor evolving situations and support coordination in time-sensitive environments.

Visit, Board, Search & Seizure (VBSS)

The DIODON HP30 supports ISR missions at sea by improving situational awareness prior to boarding operations and maintaining aerial oversight during intervention phases.

Covert, beaching & inland water operations

A compact and discreet maritime UAV enables aerial observation in sensitive environments, including night operations using high-performance IR sensors

Hardware, software and maintenance for lasting maritime performance

A maritime ISR drone for harsh environments

Maritime environments impose significant constraints on aerial systems, including limited storage space, constant exposure to water and salt, unstable wind conditions, and complex launch and recovery phases.

The DIODON HP30 maritime ISR drone was developed as a fully navalized UAV platform, combining resilient hardware, dedicated software and a maintenance system adapted to operational use at sea. Integrated features such as autonomous self-righting ensure continued operation even in degraded conditions, supporting reliable and sustained missions in demanding environments.

Made for harsh & fast evolving environments

All-weather maritime ISR drone

The DIODON HP30 maritime ISR drone is designed to operate in harsh and rapidly changing maritime environments, including heavy rain, strong winds, high humidity and low temperatures.

Its maritime-proof design enables reliable operation in conditions where conventional UAVs are typically grounded, maintaining operational continuity in degraded weather environments.

In rough sea states, wave action can destabilize aerial systems during deployment or recovery. The DIODON HP30 integrates an autonomous self-righting function, allowing the drone to recover from a flipped position on the water and resume operations without external intervention.

Top of the range EO/IR sensor for day/night capabilities

ISR-READY MARITIME UAV SYSTEM

Equipped with high-performance EO/IR sensors, it enables target detection, identification and tracking in low-light, night-time and degraded weather environments.

Thermal imaging enhances visibility through haze, sea spray and darkness, while electro-optical modes support detailed visual assessment. Fully integrated into the system, ISR data is transmitted in real time to support informed decision-making during maritime operations.

Waterproof, glove ready & intuitive interface

User-friendly GCS for maritime operations

The DIODON GCS MK.2 is a fully waterproof control station designed for reliable operation in demanding maritime environments.

Its sealed and robust construction ensures consistent performance under rain, salt spray and rapidly changing weather conditions, while its glove-compatible interface allows effective use during high-pressure operations at sea.

The piloting interface has been developed to be both intuitive and efficient, reducing cognitive load and enabling fast, precise control of the maritime ISR drone. Designed with continuous operator feedback, the system supports rapid familiarization, reduced training time and sustained mission readiness.

From operator to instructor level

Training for maritime UAV operators

DIODON provides training programs designed for maritime UAV operations, ensuring effective and safe use of the system in operational environments.

From initial operator qualification to instructor-level courses, training sessions are structured to build on existing skills and support the progressive integration of the maritime ISR drone into naval and maritime missions.
