DIODON supports those operating at sea through two core areas of expertise: the design and production of maritime UAS specifically engineered for demanding maritime conditions, and system integration expertise focused on deploying these systems from naval platforms and ensuring compatibility with existing command architectures, including C2 and CMS environments.

Our story
From idea to operational maritime UAS
DIODON Drone Technology was founded in Toulouse, France, in 2017 from a clear objective: enabling aerial capabilities in maritime environments where conventional systems cannot operate. What began as a student project at the leading French engineering school quickly evolved into a focused engineering effort, designing systems not only built to withstand the sea, but shaped by its constraints.
Through close collaboration with special forces, navies and first responders, DIODON developed its expertise directly from operational feedback, transforming early prototypes into the first inflatable and fully waterproof maritime aerial drone systems. Continuous iteration and real-world testing have defined the company’s approach: design, test and improve.
Today, DIODON brings together R&D, production and integration under one roof: delivering mission-ready systems and advancing the field of maritime UAS for naval and maritime operations.
